You are in Lombi Square, one of the most lively and authentic corners of Giglio Castello. Here the stone polished by time meets the daily life of the village, amid silent glimpses and voices that intertwine on summer days.
A little further on, the gap in the walls leads to the Rocca Pisana, the fortress that dominates the castle and affords sweeping views of the sea and the island. From this point, continuing downward instead, you can reach Piazza Gloriosa, the center of village life, and from there the Town Hall, which overlooks one of the main streets.
This crossroads is a small threshold between the oldest and liveliest parts of the town: on one side the Fortress, a symbol of history; on the other the square, the beating heart of the Gigliese community.
