The route starts from the municipal palace, an ancient praetorian palace, and follows the inner ring of the walls showing towers and patrol paths. It reaches the cistern, the center of community life thanks to the Ferdinand III's well, and continues westward to the gap connecting with the outer path.
The route begins at the town hall, which in ancient times was the praetorian palace, the most importantbuilding in the community, and continues along thering of walls internally. Thus it is possible to see the structure of the towers, patrol paths and the relationship with thebuilt-up area.
This path reaches the cistern, which is still a central place within the castle. The area of the parish church and the cistern became an important space for the community in the absence of a proper square (if we exclude the space created outside the fortress) precisely with the construction of the well by Ferdinand III.
The path continues westward until it reaches a gap in the walls that allows connection with the outer path.
