From this same point, past the so-called Etruscan Vault, the street opens up to the upper part of the village. Following the uphill path, you reach Piazza Lombi, small and collected, where the stone is warmed by the sun and the view widens to the rooftops of the Castle.
From there you can continue to the Belvedere, a natural terrace overlooking the island and the sea, or climb further to the Rocca Pisana, the fortress that watches over the village and tells its thousand-year history.
The so-called Vault of the Etruscans marks the transition between the oldest and most scenic parts of the Castle: a point where the charm of the village combines with the open light of the sea.
