Other churches were immediately outside the walled circuit but equally of interest. In particular, the church of St. Mary, which was destroyed during the siege of 1544, must evidently have been older.

The parcel cadastre of 1823-35 possibly shows a parcel that could correspond to the footprint of the former religious building.

The dedication is quite common and is usually ascribed to parish churches, but in this case it is believed that parish functions were always performed by the church within the wall circuit, where St. Anthony's church must have been, whose location, however, is not certain.
