In front of St. Peter's Church is a small viewing terrace, created in the 18th century during the renovation of the sacred building.

Thearea in front of the church of St. Peter is a small open space inside the castle.
Its location allows a splendid view of the sea and lends itself to cultural initiatives.
The renovation of the church during the 18th century made it possible to carve out this area, which is completed, on the opposite side, by the cistern built by Ferdinand III de' Medici.
This open space dialogues at a distance with the other one that stands immediately outside the fortress, on the upper part of the castle.
